As stated in the Indonesia Economic Outlook 2023 by Bank Indonesia, Indonesia’s economic growth in 2023 remains robust in the range of 4.5-5.3% and is projected to further increase to 4.7-5.5% in 2024. Consumer Price Index inflation is expected to decrease and return to the target of 3.0±1% in 2023 and 2.5±1% in 2024. This is accompanied by the continued control of imported inflation with a stable exchange rate of the Rupiah and a front-loaded, pre-emptive, and forward-looking monetary policy response.
However, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, emphasized that the global conditions ahead remain uncertain and difficult to predict. Therefore, caution and vigilance are needed in 2023, without diminishing optimism. In this regard, he provided five key directives to ensure the national economy remains resilient in the face of various challenges, including:
• Maintaining synergy between fiscal, monetary, and real sectors
• Preserving the purchasing power of the public
• Increasing exports
• Enhancing investments
• Structural transformation and green energy
This panel discussion will provide a brief overview of economic growth, especially as it relates directly to taxation. Let’s engage in discussions and Q&A about the Tax Outlook 2023 with Taxation Experts in a LIVE session!
• Menjaga sinergi sektor fiskal, moneter, & riil
• Menjaga daya beli masyarakat
• Meningkatkan ekspor
• Meningkatkan investasi
